Lost in the Sauce
Review by Mike O’Cull, independent music journalist. www.mikeocull.com
Hip-hop artist B-Eazy checks back in with his faithful with Lost in the Sauce, a hot set of 12 new tracks that show B to be a deep well of complex streetwise lyrics and stories. His flows are deep, unsettling, and thought-provoking and anyone listening can tell that he is spitting his own Truth. His style on the mic is laid back and his beats are hypnotic. This makes each track on Lost in the Sauce easy to get drawn into and the overall vibe is definitely easy on the ears. This smoothness is brilliant because it allows the power of his bars to instantly become a listener’s main focus.
B-Eazy has already racked up thousands of plays on all the major music platforms and Lost in the Sauce is likely to increase that number tenfold. Tracks like “Russian Roulette,” “Today,” “Doin’ It First,” and “Buy Me a Whip” show B-Eazy at the top of his game. His sound and feel are based on his own culture and experiences, which makes his music highly individualistic.
B is no imitator and his tracks display the confident style of a firmly-established performer. He shares the microphone with guest stars including JMAYZ, Kihndin Peters, and 45 and these features only add to the impact of the record as a whole. There are a lot of fakes and pretenders in today’s music world but B-Eazy is most assuredly not one of them. Lost in the Sauce is a complete and compelling effort from an artist on the rise. Haven’t heard about him yet? All that is about to change. Highly recommended.
