YT, a.k.a. Austin Arndt, is a young and vital rapper, producer, sound engineer and entrepreneur with a hard-edged style and a powerful lyrical flow. His new album Into The D.A.R.K.NESS brings the heat to your speakers and headphones and makes a strong statement meant to serve notice to hip hop fans around the world that he’s here to blow their minds. A recovering addict, YT makes recovery music that helps both himself and his audience cope with the realities of life. He toured the USA in 2019 alongside Scum, Rozz Dyliams, Nyro The Madman, and Opie Halogen and is expected to garner even more recognition in 2020.

“T Rex” starts the grind with a simmering sense of menace sent out to haters and non-supporters everywhere. YT is an apex predator on the microphone and he makes it immediately clear that he’s not here to half-step. He rolls his lyrics out with soul and authority, going hard from the very first syllable. “Dark Deals” relates the hardball nature of street life in no uncertain terms, communicating an existential sense of helplessness and violence that’s absolutely chilling. The same vibe continues on “Marvin,” an intimidating and direct track that’ll command your full attention.

“Maniacal Pain” is a killer's confession that’s aggressive and emotional at the same time. YT riffs on the horrors of his interior life, knowing he can’t stop killing until the pain is gone. Rick-E and Lo Key guest on the track and both artists make admirable contributions to its impact. Other highlights include “Like A Track Fiend” and “Boogieman.” YT is an impressive and unforgettable presence on these cuts and he looks to have a bright future ahead of him. Rap fans looking for new jams that are meaningful and intense will want to get all over this one.
