INNER CIRCLE AVENUE ‘FACTORY OF DREAMS’ SINGLE REVIEW - BRILLIANT POP/ROCK!

INNER CIRCLE AVENUE

“Factory of Dreams”

By Mike O’Cull www.mikeocull.com

Pop/rock trio Inner Circle Avenue displays high levels of talent and song craft on the group’s new single “Factory of Dreams.” The track is a compelling mix of modern and vintage pop styles that practically leaps out of your headphones and into your world. Inner Circle Avenue is a skintight family band made up of siblings Logan Alexander (Lead Vocals/Guitar), Eric Alexander (Bass/Backing Vocals), and Allison Alexander (Drums/Backing Vocals) that has been making a big noise since 2015. Each of the Alexanders is classically schooled on several instruments and they share an intuitive musical chemistry that’s beyond enviable. Based in Blissfield, Michigan, ICA has worked with Grammy-nominated producer Matt Dalton and multi-platinum producer Jim Wirt (Incubus, Hoobastank, Jack’s Mannequin, Fiona Apple) and is clearly ready to experience its own global come-up.

“Factory of Dreams” begins with atmospheric electronic sounds that make you think for an instant that you’re about to get an EDM track. The main groove, however, steers the song in an 80s-influenced live instrument direction that recalls the best British pop and ska of that era, including Madness and Duran Duran. Logan Alexander has a strong, expressive voice that positively flies over the muscular pocket Eric and Allison are putting down. The absolutely popping horn stabs make the vibe complete. Eric’s bass work is the heart of the tune and he drives it all the way into town. Inner Circle Avenue is an impressive emerging act built on family bonds and the kind of talent that can’t be taught. Fans of smartly-done pop/rock will find a lot to like here.
