“Jenn” is the new single from vocalist Black Hebrew on the Ajani Music imprint and fans of smooth, positive modern R&B are going to want to playlist the track as soon as they hear it. It’s a hit single-worthy slow jam inspired by an attention-getting love interest encountered in a new place of employment. Produced and co-written by Gino, “Jenn” is the story of a crush fueled by positive intentions and emotions, a quality that makes it stand out in today’s over-sexualized and often-disrespectful music scene.
Black Hebrew has the silky tenor voice of a future star and his performance here is soulful and memorable. The chorus hook is strong and BH delivers it in a way that makes it an instant earworm. Gino’s production is understated and right in the pocket, which lets the hook and vocal each do their job. Overall, “Jenn” is a romantic and enticing slice of 21st Century R&B that’s certain to win fans anywhere it gets played. Turn the lights down low and let this music work its magic.
