LORDZAMEL ‘NOT OF THIS WORLD‘ SINGLE REVIEW - TRAP/GOSPEL HIP HOP!

LORDZAMEL

“Not Of This World”

By Mike O’Cull  www.mikeocull.com

Lordzamel delivers both soul and salvation on his recent trap/gospel single “Not Of This World.” Taken from his much-anticipated upcoming album release The Prophecy, the track features a tough synth-and-drums beat that gives Lordzamel all the power he needs to drop his bars and communicate his message. His lyrics here are inspired by the gospel of John 15:19 (“If you belonged to the world, it would love you as its own. As it is, you do not belong to the world, but I have chosen you out of the world. That is why the world hates you.”) and celebrate the unique and personal qualities of people at their best. He knows that the individual experiences we all have are what shape us into our highest selves. His style on the mic is bold and confident and Lordzamel wears his own differences on his shirt sleeves for all to see.

What makes this track great is the way it uses a gritty, street-level beat to express high-minded and positive ideas. Lordzamel isn’t anyone’s typical rapper and his willingness to buck the trends and dig into the Bible rather than the streets for inspiration sets him apart from almost everyone currently in the game. “Not Of This World” is a righteous and real blast of amazing hip hop from one of the underground’s most vital artists. Don’t miss it.
