Vocalist and rapper John Tony has jumped into the game with a strong and soulful debut single called “Would You Mind?” that’s sure to bring him many new fans. He’s been rapping and producing music in the underground for a long time but now feels ready to step out into the sunlight and take his rightful place in the industry. Originally from Nigeria and currently living in Canada, John Tony draws on his unique background and a deeply meaningful and introspective style to make tracks that are certain to have worldwide appeal.
“Would You Mind?” is a sensual slow jam love song that shows us John Tony’s smooth side. He pleads his case with the object of his desire in a slick, convincing way over a funky, intimate beat. He has a warm vocal tone that fits the song well and anyone listening would be hard pressed to tell that this is a debut release. This is a radio-ready track with the potential to conquer most of the Urban Music market. Expect to hear a lot more from John Tony. Early indications are that he has more to offer than most.
