ANGELLiKEFiRE “HaLLoWWHoLE” SINGLE REVIEW - EMO TRIP POP!

ANGELLiKEFiRE

“HaLLoWWHoLE”

Single review by Mike O’Cull www.mikeocull.com

ANGELLiKEFiRE, a.k.a. Seattle native Angelica Marie Dresp, fearlessly pursues her own musical vision on her recent single “HaLLoWWHoLE.” The track is an attention-grabbing example of her self-created genre EmoTripPop, a gritty electronic sound that leans toward the abstract. Dresp is atmospheric, intense, and unsettling all at once in a brilliantly artistic way that listeners new to her work won’t soon forget. She uses hard-edged beats, evocative synthesizers, and emotional vocals to express her muse and the result is music that’s both inventive and important.

Dresp is a longtime underground creative who has worked as an actress, model, singer, and dancer. Knowing that, it’s no surprise that she has developed a musical style all her own that’s unlike anything else out there. She is in possession of an unshakable and forward-thinking sensibility that will keep fans in need of something unique coming back for more. Highly recommended.
